These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the ScanToVerify verification platform (“the Platform”).
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorised to use the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

The Platform is provided to enable authorised parties to verify the authenticity of registered identification documents via a unique verification identifier or QR code.
It is not a public service for general use and must only be used within the scope of legal authorisation.

2. Authorised Use

You may only use the Platform for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
You agree not to:

  • Access or attempt to access the Platform without authorisation.
  • Use the Platform to process or request information you are not legally entitled to receive.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features.
  • Submit false or misleading information.

3. No Guarantee of Availability

While we strive for high availability, the Platform is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

4. Verification Results

Verification results provided by the Platform are based on data registered by the accredited ID issuer.
We do not independently verify the accuracy of data supplied by issuers and are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information.

5. Data Protection

All processing of personal data through the Platform is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that verification requests may be logged for security and compliance purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and software of the Platform are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Platform without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanToVerify shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data
  • Security incidents caused by unauthorised access on your side
  • Reliance on verification results without additional due diligence

8. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform without prior notice if:

  • You breach these Terms.
  • We are required to do so by law or competent authority.
  • Security of the Platform is at risk.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
The “Effective Date” at the top will always indicate the most recent version.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable at the location of the data controller.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at that location.
